Rainy Hill Engagement
silvana + rob
Where do I begin? Well this session was 98% avoiding the cow poop and 2% of us chasing cows. Silvana and Rob do not live in Tucson, but they wanted their engagement photos here. So we couldn’t reschedule. The day of their shoot, the forecast told us there would be 90% chance of rain. And the forecast was fortunately correct, who expected that? So it rained, and when I say it rained, I mean it poured. We got rained out several times, only for us to re-coupe and gain enough warmth for the next go around. I must say, Silvana and Rob were so flexible and the rain didn’t stop them from creating the most intimate and brilliant photos. Looking at these photos at the end of day, I’ve come to realize, it’s not where, when, or even how the weather is that creates good photos. But it’s who you are with and how you feel that allows for great photos to happen. After all life is made up of little unexpected moments but those moments are merely moments. The way we endure and conquer these challenges is how we are defined. How our love is defined.
Rain might’ve ruined anyone else’s day, but if you ask me, these photos wouldn’t have been the same without it. Thank you Silvana and Rob for being such troopers in the cold rainy weather. Their willingness and eagerness to jump in the rain, dance around and play fight with the sleeves of their shirts showed me that these two people are so in-love. Like really in-love. “Silvana & Rob Love” is a love we should all aspire to find. I can not wait to photograph your wedding, especially if your wedding is just as magical as your rainy engagement.
